ABOUT
The 2010-2011 ICE ‘Kateer Novice team is comprised of 18 skaters, many who are long time ICE ‘Kateers as well as some new skaters joining the ICE ‘Kateer family. This season the Novice ICE ‘Kateers have enjoyed performing all over Southern California and at the recent Pacific Coast championships in Rochester, Minn. They are very excited to represent the Glacial Falls Figure Skating Club at the upcoming US Nationals in Ontario, California. The Novice ICE ‘Kateers are lead by Kathi Pargee, John Saitta and Lia Trovati and have enjoyed working with guest coaches, Vicki Korn and Judy Blumberg. The Novice ICE ‘Kateers practice 3 hours per week on ice and 1 hour per week off ice while continuing to improve their individual skills through their personal on ice training 3-4 hours per week. The ICE ‘Kateers goal of making memories to last a lifetime included a wonderful surprise event for the Novice team planned by the 2010-2011 Seniors. Each skater in attendance will remember their evening of dinner, and signing and dancing on the “party” bus in their formal wear! What wonderful memories does the rest of the season have in store?
